Tremor International Q4 2021 IR Newsletter

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to our inaugural Tremor International quarterly IR newsletter! We intend to distribute these newsletters after the end of each quarter to highlight recent news we have released, upcoming events we are attending, product updates and publications we are featured in.

In November 2021, we reported Q3 2021 earnings results where we:

In addition, we announced the launch of Programmatic TV Marketplace, which provides advertisers with a centralized platform for planning TV campaigns, facilitating turnkey campaign activation and providing greater transparency into the curation of data-driven audiences.

In October, we acquired Spearad, a global CTV Video ad server and media management platform purpose-built for broadcasters and TV content companies to deliver seamless TV-like experiences in CTV and Over-the-Top (OTT) environments, with the same advanced controls and capabilities of linear TV.

During the same month, we also signed an exclusive global automatic content recognition (ACR) data partnership with VIDAA, a smart TV operating system and content platform preinstalled on most TVs manufactured by Hisense, making Tremor International the only open end-to-end platform outside of the walled gardens with direct access to global OEM ACR data for targeting. The agreement provides access to VIDAA’s distribution, reaching approximately 20 million smart TVs worldwide which is expected to grow to more than 40 million in coming years. Tremor International will bring VIDAA’s ACR data into its TV Intelligence solution starting May 1, 2022.

In November, we launched our Content-level Targeting solution which allows advertisers to access 26+ content-level packages based on genre (e.g. action) or rating (e.g. TV-MA) to reach their target audiences across CTV and all-screen video.

We also fulfilled our promise to engage more with you, the investor community. Since the end of the third quarter, Tremor International has participated in more investor meetings, conferences and non-deal-roadshows than it ever has in the Company’s history. Some highlights include:

  • Q3 Update Via the Investor Meet Company platform
  • Fireside chat presentation and investor meetings at RBC’s Global Technology, Internet, Media and Telecom Conference
  • Fireside chat presentation and investor meetings at Raymond James’ Technology Investors Conference
  • Non-Deal-Roadshows with numerous banking and IR partners
  • Fireside chat presentation and investor meetings at the 24th Annual Needham Growth Conference in January 2022

Finally, we are excited to share that Tremor International has launched a comprehensive new branding initiative. As our global footprint strengthens and the advertising technology industry evolves, we felt it was important to solidify our identity through a refined set of verbal and visual assets that enhance our brand equity around the world.

As you will see across our website and communications, our new branding is designed to succinctly capture Tremor International’s character: strong and straightforward, innovative but ego-free.

While this marks a new chapter for Tremor International, our core values and capabilities remain the same, and we continue to facilitate powerful partnerships and differentiated creative solutions to deliver meaningful results.

We hope you find this to be helpful and, as always, if you have any questions, any feedback, or if you’re interested in connecting with the investor relations team or management, please reach out to ir@tremorinternational.com.

This newsletter can also be accessed on our investor relations website at https://investors.tremorinternational.com/.

Thank you!

Product Updates

TV Marketplace - We launched TV Marketplace within our DSP platform which enables advertisers to discover, search and select TV-centric inventory for turnkey campaign activation and customization across CTV and all-screen video. Self-Service clients can now optimize their campaigns and maximize their media spend by choosing from over 60+ curated deals ranging from TV viewership-based campaigns to live sports opportunities. They can also filter deals based on CPM range, volume and by category and can customize deals if desired.

Content-level Targeting - With the launch of our Content-level Targeting solution, advertisers globally can now access 26+ content-level packages based on genre (e.g. action) or rating (e.g. TV-MA) to reach their target audiences across CTV and all-screen video. These attributes mirror linear TV buys and bring standardization to the programmatic OTT and CTV ecosystem as spend moves from linear to digital environments.

Leveraging our end-to-end tech stack, these packages are derived from Unruly's direct publisher data and use a proprietary methodology to simplify content-level attributes into scalable deals. This approach also enables buyers to take advantage of publisher data across digital screens and addresses the need for more privacy-conscious, granular targeting solutions.

Spearad Acquisition - Our recent acquisition of Spearad opens exciting growth opportunities for us and our customers. We are moving full steam ahead to integrate Spearad technologies with Unruly SSP with the goal of launching CTV header bidding in Q1’22 and CTV ad server in 1H’22. Product offerings that will be enabled through this integration include:

  • Ad podding capabilities including ad slot targeting and competitive separation to help align with TV-like ad delivery.
  • Advanced UI for publishers with real time reporting / management dashboard to streamline media planning, optimization, and reporting.
  • Ability for publishers to manage both direct-sold/first-party demand and programmatic demand of CTV and OTT for both live-streaming and video-on-demand

DoubleVerify Standard Brand Suitability and Authentic Brand Suitability (ABS) - We expanded our suite of brand safety tools to include two new solutions from DoubleVerify that allow our advertisers to activate brand safety and fraud controls to avoid "unsafe" content. Standard Brand Suitability allows advertisers to leverage over 54+ of DoubleVerify’s Standard Brand Suitability segments to block unsafe content. Authentic Brand Suitability (ABS) allows advertisers to implement inclusion / exclusion targeting based on site lists, content classification categories and custom keyword lists.

Cross-Device Attribution Reporting - We are excited to announce the official release of our new cross-device attribution reporting solution, which is available in the US and Canada. This offering allows our customers to understand the impact of their CTV and all-screen campaigns on driving website conversions.

With this solution customers can:

  • Understand the impact of their campaign on driving conversions by action type
  • Identify key paths to conversion across devices and the impression to conversion ratio by path
  • Measure the average number of ad exposures to conversion
  • Learn which audiences and tactics are most effective at driving conversions

Tremor Video DSP Platform Updates

In 4Q’21 we made several DSP platform enhancements to better meet the needs of our clients including: Programmatic Guarantee for Audio, Troubleshooting, Download Data from Campaign Graph, Reach and Frequency Reporting, Audience Group Creation, Forecaster, Timestamp and Bulk Editing Capabilities.

Unruly SSP/Exchange Platform Updates

We introduced new PMP deal capabilities in our CTRL self-service platform for publishers including supply-side Audience Targeting (beta), enabling publishers to package inventory more effectively to meet buyer demand for data-driven programmatic targeting opportunities. We also released enhancements to CTRL deal reporting for increased transparency, and additional UI updates for improved ease of use.
